Wanted a fun board/mini tanker for some of the not so good, not so big days here on Maui. After talking to a sales guy at a local surf shop he recommended the JL Destroyer. I told him my surfing back ground and what I wanted it for (I’ve beed riding short boards most my life) and he recommended a 7’0″. I was a bit nervous purchasing it before ever trying it but it looked like a real nice shape and volume for my size. That board is killer in waist high to overhead surf! I can’t believe how fun that thing is. It catches waves so easy yet rides very similar to a short board. Can do floaters, carve and hit the lip suprisingly easy! It really is a “can do most anything” board…one of my everyday boards in my quiver now.
