Super Frank

$1,880.00$2,450.00

The Super Frank is the ultimate SUP groveler.  It’s meant to be ridden quite a bit shorter than your normal board and still offer plenty stability.  Flat rocker with a very deep single to double concave for high speed and drive in flat and weak surf.  The outline has the wide point a bit forward coming into a performance thumb tail to make the board very responsive and easy to whip around.  The Super Frank comes in two widths for each length so you can choose the width and volume that best suits you.

5 Fin Box Set Up. The 5 fin set  includes three 4.5″ fins and a back side set of 4″ fins for boards under 130 liters.

For boards 130 liters and above, the 5 fin set includes three 5.5″ fins and a back side set of 4.75″ fins.

I don’t normally go out of my way to write reviews – but the Super Frank deserves a little press. First of all it’s a really cool looking board – clean, sharp, and well constructed. But where it really shines is in the surf. I got the 8′-0″ x 31.5″ 128L, dropping straight down from a 9′-0″ Fanatic AllWave at 150L+. Have been surfing since i was a kid and SUPing for the last 4 years, but at 200lbs was concerned about float, paddling, and stability. First day, i did spend a little more time in the water (vs on top), but i did catch a dozen waves or so…from then on it has been unbelievable. Despite its relatively short length, it catches waves like my AllWave, but it surfs like a big guy short board…doesn’t even feel like a SUP. It turns effortlessly, but still with plenty of drive…in short – it has all the benefits of a larger SUP but surfs like a surfboard. What could be better than that? Ride primarily at San Diego reef break – but have had it in a variety of conditions and believe, now, that it’s the only board i need. Well done!
